In ancient Ale Luwu, King Batara Lattu and Queen We Datu Sengeng were happy. But a deep longing filled their royal hearts. Batara Lattu, though settled, often thought of Tompotikka and his brother. We Datu Sengeng, in turn, yearned for a child.
We Datu Sengeng often voiced her sorrow, "I had hoped to be pregnant by now." Batara Lattu would gently comfort her. "We must be patient, my queen. Datu Patoto'e will grant us this blessing when the time is right, as is destined."
Amidst their shared sorrow, We Datu Sengeng experienced a peculiar dream. She found herself adrift on a vast ocean, discovering a woven basket containing precious eggs. As they hatched, two chicks emerged: a vibrant male soaring towards Ale Cina, and a delicate female ascending to the sky kingdom.
"My dream must signify something important," she declared upon waking. Batara Lattu, sensing its profound meaning, agreed. "This is an auspicious sign." They immediately sought solace and guidance through prayer to Datu Patoto'e.
Their prayers were answered when the wise Batara Guru arrived. He listened intently to We Datu Sengeng's dream. "Indeed, this is a powerful prophecy," he confirmed. "You are destined to have twin children: a boy who will journey far, and a girl who will ascend to the sky kingdom. But fear not, for they are also destined to return."
To ensure this blessing, Batara Guru declared, "I must journey to the Sky Kingdom. I will seek Datu Patoto'e's permission for their birth." With a determined heart, he began his ascent.
Upon reaching the celestial gates, he was momentarily challenged by the sky guards. "Who dares approach Datu Patoto'e's realm?" they demanded. Batara Guru stood tall. "I am Batara Guru, son of Datu Patoto'e. I come on a matter of great destiny for Ale Luwu." Recognizing his divine lineage, the guards respectfully allowed him passage.
Datu Patoto'e greeted his son with a knowing smile. "I have awaited your arrival, Batara Guru. The dream of We Datu Sengeng is a clear sign that the time is ripe for the birth of her offspring."
However, Datu Patoto'e's expression grew serious. "There is a warning, my son. If these twins are born in the sacred month, a problematic destiny awaits them; they will develop a forbidden bond. To avert this, they must be separated at birth."
Batara Guru, unwavering in his purpose, bowed respectfully. "Great Datu Patoto'e, I understand your wisdom. Yet, I implore you, let them be born immediately. Their destiny, however complex, must begin now."
Datu Patoto'e considered his son's plea, then nodded. "So be it. Your will shall be done." With a gesture of divine power, he bestowed names upon the unborn twins. "The male shall be called Sawerigading, and the female, We Tenriabeng."
With the divine decree secured, Batara Guru swiftly returned to Ale Luwu. He brought the joyous news to Batara Lattu and We Datu Sengeng, whose hearts swelled with relief and happiness. The palace erupted in celebration, filled with songs and dances of gratitude.
Hope spread like wildfire throughout Ale Luwu, touching every corner of the land. Batara Guru felt deep fulfillment. His earthly duties neared completion with the destined twins' impending birth.

Episode 040: Tunas Kembar Sawerigading Dan We Tenriabeng
Setahun telah berlalu sejak kepulangan Batara Ratu dari Tompotikka. Kini, Batara Lattu hidup bahagia bersama dengan We Datu Sengeng. Di balik senyuman, Batara Lattu menyimpan kerinduan yang mendalam terhadap Tompotikka serta kakak kandungnya, Sawerigading.
"Apakah kau tidak merindukan Tompotikka?" tanya We Datu Sengeng, melihat gelisah di mata suaminya.
"Rindu, tentu saja," jawab Batara Lattu dengan nada lembut. "Tapi kita di sini, dan kita harus menjaga satu sama lain."
We Datu Sengeng mengingat harapan untuk segera mengandung anak, namun masa itu belum juga tiba. "Aku seharusnya sudah mengandung," keluhnya, berusaha tegar.
"Kita harus bersabar. Patoto'e akan memberikan rezeki pada waktunya," sahut Batara Lattu, berusaha menenangkan.
Di tengah kesedihan itu, We Datu Sengeng bermimpi aneh. Dalam mimpinya, dia berada di tengah lautan dan menemukan bakul berisi telur. "Baiklah," sahut Patoto'e, "namai mereka Sawerigading untuk yang jantan dan We Tenriabeng untuk yang betina."
Pulanglah Batara Guru ke Ale Luwu, membawa kabar bahagia itu. "Kita akan segera menyambut mereka!" teriaknya, disambut sorak gembira oleh seluruh penghuni istana.
