"Are you truly certain, Sawerigading?" We Tenriabeng asked, her voice laced with worry. "You underestimate We Cudai's resolve." Sawerigading merely smiled. "Relax, sister. I sense something deeper. I need one chance."
Later that cool evening in Ale Cina, Sawerigading quietly approached We Cudai’s chamber. The door, surprisingly, was unlocked. He slipped inside, finding her peacefully asleep in the dim light. "This is my moment," he whispered, stepping closer.
We Cudai awoke abruptly, her eyes widening in disbelief. "Sawerigading! What are you doing here?" she demanded, a sharp whisper cutting the quiet. Her heart pounded with indignation.
"Shhh, calm yourself," Sawerigading urged, attempting a smile. "Have you forgotten the condition you set? I am here to prove this love transcends all boundaries, regardless of what others might say." His gaze was unwavering.
"Love? What are you dreaming of, Sawerigading?" We Cudai retorted, sharp with skepticism. "They will simply laugh at us, especially after all that has transpired. How could we face them?"

We Cudai's voice softened. "But... I have grown accustomed to ignoring these feelings. I don't know if I can truly rely on you, Sawerigading, or on myself to trust."
"Just grant me this opportunity, We Cudai," Sawerigading pleaded earnestly. "Allow me to prove I can be the man you truly deserve."
We Cudai averted her gaze, visibly struggling with a whirlwind of emotions. For so long, she had believed nothing could alter her perception of him. Yet, his sincerity chipped away at her defenses. "Perhaps... perhaps I can give you a chance," she conceded, her voice barely audible.
After a moment of profound silence, a soft laugh escaped We Cudai. "Who knew Sawerigading could be so romantic? Our story begins now."
With the tension melting away, their gazes met. "Let us truly start anew," Sawerigading whispered, gently taking her hand.
"However, this must remain our secret," We Cudai cautioned, a tender smile playing on her lips. "We wouldn't want to invite more gossip."
