Putri Kemarau

Once, there was a land with no rain. The sun was hot each day. The ground was dry and brown. The rivers were empty. The people felt very sad. They needed water for their plants. They needed water to drink. But the sky was empty and blue. The flowers were thirsty. The trees were thirsty too. All waited for a drop of water. But no rain came.

Princess Lily saw the dry land. She saw the sad people. Her heart was kind and brave. "I must help my people," she said. She had a brave idea. She would go to the big sea. The water was blue and deep. Princess Lily was not afraid. She walked a long way. She climbed over dry hills. At last, she reached the sea. The water was big and wide. Princess Lily took a deep breath. "I will do a brave act," she thought. She jumped into the sea. It was a brave act for her people.

Then, a wonder happened. A soft rain began to fall. Drop, drop, drop on the dry land. The rain was a happy blessing. It fell gently on the princess. It fell on the thirsty ground. The rain touched the dry hills. It filled the empty rivers. The land began to smile. Green plants started to grow. Flowers opened their petals. The trees drank the sweet water. The people were happy again. They had water to drink. They had water for their plants. Princess Lily was brave. She helped all. Being kind and brave is good. Now, the land is green and happy. Rain falls softly. All smile.
