Adit and Little Red Riding Hood
Once, there was a boy named Adit who loved stories. He read a book about Little Red and a Wolf. In the pictures, the Wolf looked very sad. Adit wanted to help the Wolf feel happy. He had a special magic story book. He opened it and went into the story.
In the forest, the sun was bright. Little Red walked happily on the path. The Wolf hid behind a big green bush. Little Red saw him and smiled. "Hello, Wolf," she said in a kind voice. "Do you want to be my friend?" The Wolf felt very happy and curious. He wanted to know this kind girl. So he followed Little Red down the path.
Adit watched from behind a tree. He smiled a big smile. His plan was working very well. The Wolf was becoming nicer and friendlier.
They came to Grandma's small house. The Wolf wanted to join them inside. He went in very quietly. He saw Grandma's pretty red cloak. He tried it on for fun. It was much too big for him. He knocked over a little chair.
Grandma woke up from her nap. She saw the Wolf in her room. She was very surprised to see him. Little Red saw the Wolf in her hood. But everyone was safe and okay.
The Wolf smiled a gentle smile. He learned it is good to be himself. He did not need to pretend to be someone else.
Adit saw everything that happened. His plan did not go just as he thought. He felt a little sorry. He remembered his Mom's kind words. "Be kind and be careful," she had said.
All the friends gave each other a hug. They were all good friends now. Adit closed his magic story book. He learned that changing stories makes things new and different. But we must always be careful and kind.

Plot Summary
Adit, a narrative analyst, attempts to 'save' the Wolf in Little Red Riding Hood by manipulating the story to instill empathy in the girl and a new emotional 'hunger' in the Wolf. His intervention leads the Wolf to desire to be 'human' and 'part of the story,' resulting in the Wolf killing the Grandmother not out of primal instinct, but a twisted desire to embody her. Adit watches in horror as his narrative manipulation creates a more insidious and permanent danger for Little Red Riding Hood, realizing his attempt to improve the story has only made it more cruel.
