Hello! I am Albert Bonnier, and I have a big idea about books! Once upon a time, in a land called Sweden, people loved to learn new things. They wanted to know many stories. People were curious. They wanted to read more. This was a good time for learning. People wanted new ideas.

Books are very important friends. They teach us many things. Books make us happy. We can read good stories. But books were very expensive for families. Many people did not have books at home. Families had little money. They could not buy books. This made me very sad. I wanted to help them.

I am Albert Bonnier. I had a big, happy idea for all. I wanted books for everyone in Sweden. I wanted to make "De Bästa Böckerna." This means "The Best Books." I wanted them to be very cheap. Just one shiny coin for each book. So all people could buy them. This was my big plan. Everyone can read good books.

These books have many stories. Some stories are from Sweden. Other stories are from far away lands. We have books about animals. We have books about plants. We have books about exciting trips. The books look very pretty. They are nice to hold. They will be beautiful. Good stories for everyone.

I want every house in Sweden to have these books. I want all people to read them. Children will read them. Grown-ups will read them. Books bring happy times. Books bring new ideas. Reading is a joy for everyone. Not just for rich people. Everyone can learn new things. Everyone can be happy with books.

Many smart people wrote these books. They wrote wonderful stories for us. Some books were ready now for you. You could buy them today. These were good books for all. People can read them and smile. They bring new joy. And more good books were coming soon! Many new stories for everyone to read.

And so, Albert Bonnier helped many, many people read wonderful stories. Hooray for books! Everyone could learn and be happy.

ALBERT BONNIER.
